Skin Booster is a treatment that consists of micro-injections of dermal filler in the superficial layers of the skin. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, it is not injected beneath the skin to volumize the face. Are skin boosters suitable for my skin?
Skin boosters are suitable for any skin type and any age range (providing the patient is over 18). Skin boosters provide dehydrated skin with hydration to revive the dermis. Skin boosters specifically work to target dryness, dull skin and fine lines. Alongside aiding in hydration and the correction of fine lines – skin boosters work effectively to improve both tone and texture.
Can skin boosters be combined with other treatments?
For enhanced results, our clients often combine skin booster treatments with anti-wrinkle injections or dermal filler. Skin boosters can also be combined with anti-ageing treatments such as a Thermage FLX or Ultherapy to enhance results and improve signs of ageing.
How long do skin boosters last?
The longevity of each skin booster treatment can vary depending on each brand, individual’s age, skin type and the client’s skin maintenance between treatments. However, on average the results last up to 12 months. The first 3 sessions – one every 2 to 4 weeks – are recommended for optimal results.
Is the treatment painful?
The micro-injections are shallow and fine needles are used. For enhanced comfort, each injection contains lidocaine – a completely safe local anaesthetic. Additionally, before the procedure we apply a topical numbing cream on the area to be treated, to help ensure patient comfort.
Are the results visible immediately?
You will notice an improvement in the tone, texture and feel of your skin. Two to three days after the treatment, you may notice that the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles will be reduced and that there is an improvement in skin elasticity. Your skin will appear radiant and this effect will improve with each treatment.
