PREPARATION
- Please advise our team if you have had any injectable treatments recently prior to undergoing thermage FLX.
- Stay well-hydrated and avoid strong sun exposure for one week prior to your appointment.
- Refrain from chemical peels or laser treatments for two weeks before your session.
- Allow at least 4-6 months after other skin lifting and firming treatments ) such as Ultrafomer MPT or Ultherapy Prime®) before undergoing Thermage FLX.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After cleansing the treatment area, your practitioner will apply a coupling gel and begin the procedure using the Thermage FLX handpiece.
You may feel a brief heating sensation followed by a cooling effect — this indicates that the collagen-tightening process is underway.

After receiving Thermage® treatment, follow these aftercare guidelines carefully to ensure optimal results and minimise discomfort or side effects.
1. Skin Care
• Keep Skin Clean
Use a gentle, non-alcoholic cleanser on the treated area. Avoid products containing alcohol or harsh ingredients.
• Moisturise
Your skin may feel dry or tight after treatment. Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturiser regularly to maintain comfort and hydration.
• Sun Protection
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 72 hours after treatment. Always apply SPF 30+ sunscreen to protect your skin and support collagen regeneration.
2. Eye Thermage – First 8 Hours
For Eye Thermage treatments only, avoid wearing contact lenses, rubbing or touching your eyes, or engaging in any activity that may irritate the eye area during the first 8 hours after treatment.
3. Common Reactions
• Mild Redness – Temporary redness is common and usually fades within a few hours.
• Swelling or Tingling – Mild swelling or tingling may occur and typically subsides within 1–3 days.
• Dryness or Flaking – Rarely, slight dryness or flaking may appear. Allow it to shed naturally—do not pick or scratch.
4. Activity Restrictions
• Avoid Heat – Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise for 48 hours after treatment.

5. Makeup
You may apply makeup the day after treatment if there is no irritation, but opt for light coverage and remove it thoroughly at the end of the day.
